Isi artikelAging may be defined as a set of predictable, gradual and inevitable changes that occur in healthy persons with the passage of time. One goal for the 21st century is to let older people improve their lives, which comes largely through controlling the cost of health care. Another goal is to identify and desseminate the potential of human biology in later life to the majority of our population. The third goal is to use space-age technology in addressing the chronic diseases that inflict older members of our society. These changes will bring about a golden future in which we age independent, robust and in good health.
