Traffic signs must he designed exactly, layout as well as design so really give benefit appropriate to their aim. This research was done to analyze visual display of traffic signs by ergonomics aspect. The evaluation was done to traffic signs what is on crossroad in JIn. Kaliurang Km 4 Yogyakarta. Data that was taken to analyze include prevalence data, layout and dimension traffic signs, volume of traffic signs data and anthropometri data. Prevalence data indicated that respondent don’t agree with this traffic signs layout. Furthermore, typografi was done analysis, visual angel evaluation to traffic light direction and traffic signs besides traffic signs, and evaluation that based on Kepmen no. 61 Th 1993 about traffic signs. Based on the results of analysis, it was concluded that from ergonomics aspect. especially tvpografi and visual angel user, indicated that display of the traffic signs werenot optimum so eyes position when saw at the longest queue did not focus at the object. Evaluation based on Kepmen no. 6! Th 1993 also gave the dimension result and traffic signs position. It was not appropriate with the rule.
