This writing is a study as settle¬ment pattern a nd system i n m any kinds of places in Indonesia with are studied archeologically a nd architecturally. The examples in this study are concerned with m any kinds of settlement having d ifferent backgrounds namely the ones based on the sameness of groups and trides as well as beliefs and technological system of earning money. T his study is needed so as to make us, in constructing settlement complex, be very much attentice to, not only aconomic factors but also local wishdom on each site so that the dwellers to-de will not fill strange in their own home.
