There are differences in structuring of traditional houses of Chinese descendant community in both towns and villages of Tangerang. The difference is related to room function and purpose of traditional house in changes caused by room needs to the place of stay for their descendants. However, the traditional house in the village is not significantly changed because they still respect their ancestor’s heritage. The same applies to division in layout pattern of traditional houses which function and purposes are similar.
