Roa Malaka, Glodok and Tambora districts are Jakarta Lama's Which have high historical value. Since the Dutch Government, have owned an inportant meaning to the Jakarta economy untul the present time. They are very densely populated. The existence o the needs demand and time development to the demolitions that are now happening. To overcome these there, at the beginning of the program, has been made a research about building identification which aims at understanding and comprehending the building styles which are in those districts, so tat the following research which is one of the ways in aiming at/directing to the environment conservation passively will be done more easily. This research uses observation, interview and questionaire methods. The results obtained are afterwards compared with several library studies and interviews with a number of experts who plunge into this research. The ancient building which are identified with the indicators of building style, building-shape, building-structure, roomlay out and ornament-type turn out to have different architectural styles and also different building functions. The whole variation, anyhow, owns a high aesthetical value. Talkings are rented every ten years, some are empty, some are dwelled as private houses and shops and some others are used researched are being very well taken care and having their original condition.
