The late economic crisis in Indonesia since 1997 influenced many firms. Firms closed their business or downsized their employee for efficiency. However this phenomenon didn’t last for long time. Since the government tried to stabilize the economic conditwn, the demand of employee was increased and it brings a new hope for unemployment looking a new job. This article would examines job advertisement in Kompas (daily newspaper) in 1999. The purpose is to know exactly what jobs were mostly offered by companies, what qualj/Ication required and also what sector that offer jobs opportunities.
