Isi artikel
Incidence of muscular-skeletal-disorders (MSD), a disease that attacks muscular, skeletal and motoric nerves, with pain in the neck, shoulder, waist, and back hand of workers that work for long periods on computers (>60 hours per day). The results up to April 2003 at Astra Motor, Sunter II, Jakarta showed MSD in 3 out of 37 workers (8.02%). The major parts of the body with high risk were neck, shoulder, back, fingers and hands. MSD were caused by internal and external factors. The internal factors were worker long period of time. The external factors were worker long period of work on computers not ergonomic friendly. It is recommended that workers prevent body deviation of position and posture and move body to more favourable position during work. Changing computer units with more ergonomic friendly furniture may facilitate this allevation of illness.
