Megawati's emergence to the political stage at the end of the New Order era is a special phenomenon. She came as a symbol of struggle againts repressive politics done by the New Order Regime, as well as an anti quo-status symbol. People hope she will be an alternative figure for political change. People's sympathy flows for her and her party. The controversy that stick to her personality is her silence in some moments that really needed her existence. Is this a form of inferiority or a femininity that emphasis non-violence act in the middle of the domination of masculin culture that emphasizes violence.
