One of the problems that Indonesian farmers are facing is fragmentation and possession of farmland. Many Indonesian farmers have very small farming areas of not more than 0.25 hectar. The low competitive ability as a result of their lack of modern farming techology is another problem. The condition is aggravated by the developing bureucracy that assumes that the problem are triggered by the farmer's negative attitude. An effort to solve these problems is by reforming bureucracy to participate more in developing agroindustry. Good farming conditions, pioneer and educated farmers, conducive rural communication atmosphere such as grapevine communication and many external factors will contribute in encouraging social transformation into modern-agroindustrial farming.
