Community based tourism as a new trend in recent years. As a country consist of much different cultural background, Indonesia has a great chance to offer this alternative tourism. The need to making tourism in Indonesia more profitable is forced by Local Autonomy Act started to be implemented January 1st 2001. But Indonesian tourism still has lack of human resources quality in managing good and sustainable tourism. In order to improve the human resources quality in tourism, especially human resources of local people, Indonesian can learn from the Japanese in their attitudes toward nature, tourist objects, tourists.
