In this last decade, there is huge migration of Japanese people from the big cities to rural areas. Until the 1980s, there was still a great urbanization of many rural people to the cities which promised many things and hope to them. The moving of urban people to the rural area, of course, becomes a new and intresting phenomenon for Japanese society, especially for the social scientists. Why some orban people left the city and start a new life in the country-side still become the discussion in some scientific seminars. This paper tries to reveal the background of migration of urban people to the countryside and how this moving changes or gives impacts to the rural area and its society.
