The dichotomy of domestic-pulblic which says that women are trapped in the domestic affairs whereas men are freely involved in public affairs is a sign of a gender-biased social structure. The symptom of women's involvement outside the house shows that women have been trying to reconstruct their lives' history by building new identities for themselves, not only as mother/wives but also as workers and career women (double roles). Even so, women's involvement in public affairs does not mean that there is no cost whatsoever that women should pay. This happens because not only women should have the same quality and capacity as men, but they also have to pay a high price of ideology. The demand and development nowadays have opened women's chance to participate in public affairs as a manifestation of self-actualization. However, because of the strong old-fashioned familialism ideology, patriarchy culture and many other social changes which is aimed at gender-biased construction then at the end women have to bear double burdens. Therefore, as a manifestation of equal rights between men and women, the men's participation as well as their active roles in domestic affairs are needed (men's double roles).
