Many people believe that there is a positive relationship between writing process preferences and personality. Some researchers say so. Is that true? Or should it be investigated further? Based on those questions, the writer wants to prove that the relationship between writing process preferences and personality is true. But how to prove it? That is what this thesis is about. This study is conducted to reveal the relationship between writing process preferences and personality in the context of Competency Based Curriculum. At first, the writer defines some aspects related to writing process preferences, personality and Competency Based Curriculum in order to give the readers a more focused perspective for grasping the idea presented. After that, the writer gathers the data from the participants. Next, the data gathered is processed by using SPSS version 12.0. Later, the writer presents the research findings in order to reveal whether the hypothesis is proved or not while discussing the topic based on the related literature. At last, there are some conclusions and suggestions to be provided in the last chapter. Being investigated further, it is known that the hypothesis saying there is a relationship between writing process preferences and personality is proved. On the other side, some elements of personality like Intuition and Judging, and some types of personality like INFJ, INTJ, INTP, ESTP, ESFP, ENFP, ENTP, ESTJ, ESFJ, ENFJ and ENTJ have been proved correlated significantly with writing process preferences. Unfortunately, Extroversion, Introversion, Sensing, Thinking, Feeling, Perceiving, ISTJ, ISFJ, ISTP, ISFP and INFP have not been proved correlated with writing preferences. There are still many ways to develop this research to be more perfect and interesting. It does not close a possibility for other writers to investigate the topic further. Here, the writer has only tried to make the first step ahead. The next steps may be done by the others. |
