Abstract
This research will examine whether MBA' / business school' curriculum related to career and management practice in business. If the subject matter of business schools were directly tied to business success, there should be more consistent and stronger connections between business success and mastery of the relevant content. Next, a large body of evidence suggests that the curriculum taught in business schools has only a small relationship to what is important for succeeding in business. Porter and McKibbin (1988) noted that many critics felt that quantitatively-based analytical techniques received too much attention, while there was too little attention given to developing leadership and interpersonal skills, and too little emphasis on communication skills. Not surprisingly, a survey conducted in 1982 by the Graduate Management Admissions Council came to the same conclusions regarding "perceived weaknesses in personal skills" (Jenkins & Reizenstein, 1984). Mintzberg and Gosling (2002) noted, "contemporary business education focuses on the functions of business more than the practice of managing". We will do descriptive analysis based on survey results to all people who had been studied at MBA (MM) of Unika Atma Jaya. We will draw some useful insights and present them to relevant people/groups
