One of the problem faced by law students is that they are not encouraged to develop their thinking ability. Some lecturers tend to teach them in a traditional way by having them memorize the materials which make the students unable to apply their knowledge in solving legal problems in the society. But in participating in the prestigous Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, students are empowered to explore their abilities to argue in the moot court. Cooperative learning has pushed them to work harder in gaining achievement. In this article, I would like to share my experience how cooperative learning is well implemented when the students are preparing themselves for this tiring competition.
