This research attempts to study the efficiency of market with half-strong form at the Surabaya Stock azchange. The analysis of the half-strong form id done by looking at whether the price of share moves faster when stock split is announced to the public during 1997. By studying such a problem, using method event study, it can be found out that there is no reaction toward the price of the share by the time of stock split announcement.
