One of the events that music students will always face is a competition, in which the range can be regional, national, and international. Music competition is not the same as others since the participants will get pressure from audience, the stage and hall itself, psychologically, and his or her performance, in which every one has his or her own way in facing all those pressures. As the best Faculty of Fine Arts in Indonesia, competition becomes serious attention since the graduates are expected to compete and become the best in every event. Competition be¬comes really important event to form professionalism in musician; it is not only to look for a winner, but also a process to form self-maturity and self-confidence. In conjunction with that, Faculty of Fine Arts Music Department would like to hold an internal competition that will be the form of the annual research; it is to research our music students how ready they are to compete in every situation and condition; it will also discuss if the faculty teaching system has been effective for students. The conclusion is to give suggestion for the development of music study in each concentration in the Faculty of Fine Arts.
