Symbolic convergence theory has been applied in many organisations. This approach suggests that the goal of organisation can be achieved through shared symbol-construction. The approach, however, has been critisied by critical studies. Based on the interpretative approach on the symbolic convergence in organisation, the critical perspective finds out that there is an ideological conflict behind the convergence of subjective meaning on shared social reality that is constructed in organization.
