The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of training and motivation on performance of employees. This research uses employee at PT. Sumbersari Mekarperkasa, Malang as a sample. Sample selection is performed based on simple random sampling method, by using Slovin formula, there are 100 employees which have been fulfilling the conditions needed. The result shows that the effects of training and motivation to performance of employees has R square of 0,52. The influence of training is to increase the performance of employees. The increase of performance of employees caused the increase of capability of employees such as: filling technique, the accuracy of filling and the accuracy of bottle placement on filling machine. The influence of motivation is to increase the performance of employees. This increase of performance is driven by physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, and need for achievement. Physiological needs are fulfilled with remuneration system and exact time of remuneration adjustment. Safety needs are fulfilled with: (1) retirement based on age and working period, (2) the differentiation os not applied to the operational level employees and (3) industry wich is not risky. Social needs are fulfilled with famity relationship among employees, so conflict seldom happens. Needs for achievement are fulfilled by demonstrating expertise, competence and skill.
