The purpose of theis study is to examine the prevalence and determinanat factors of nutritional status of dwellers of government residential homes in DKI Jakarta with total sample of 182 elderly using simple random sampling method. Prevalence of malnutrition (BMI < 18.5) in elderly dwellers of government of residential homes are 32.97% with BMI mean of 20.86 ± 4.46. Factors, which are not associated with elderly nutritional status, are age, sex, marital status, and duration of staying at residential homes, health problems, dentures, family's visit, depression, functional status, and protein consumption. determinanat factors associated with nutritional status of ederly are education (OR: 2.53; 95% CI: 1.12-5.71), participated in the residential homes activities (OR: 2.33; 95% CI: 1.03-5.20), number of natural teeth (OR: 3.33; 95% CI: 1.42-7.81), and interaction of co-morbid condition and energy consumption, elderly without co-morbid condition and having inadequate energy consumption are at risk of having malnutrition 4.27 times (95%CI: 1.09-16.81) compared to elderly with normal energy consumption, while elderly with co-morbid condition and enadequate energy consumption are at risk of having malnutrition status 34.21 times (95% CI:8.46-138.44) compared to elderly with normal energy consumption.
