Isi artikelPID controller is widely used in industries nowadays. The reason that the industries still using this controller is the PID caracteristic. This controller can handle such plant in many diffrent situations under many decided criterias like the overshoot limit, setling time, and rise time. Beside that, this controller can be found in many design even in digital or in analog system, so the right choice can be selected depend on the industries need. The aim of tihs paper is to show that PC (personal computer) can be used to perform this controller algoritm and provide good interface. The flexibility of changing the controller constant and a better and usefull user interface of the control system will be presented. The digital PID controller is built using LABVIEW software that has been bundled into NI-ELVIS (National Instrument-Educational Laboratory Visual Instrument Suite) modul. The PID controller can control the speed of a DC motor in to desired value. The behaviour of the plant that can be seen directly from the PC is a good feedback for the operator in setting process of the controller
