CApital struktur is long-range financing balances or comparison of a company which can be shownby comparing the long term liabilities to equity. Capital structure determines the company's financial stability as well as solves the long term financial problems. Good capital structure can maximize the value of the company. This research aims at examining the influence of capital struture toward the company's profitability and to know its difference before and after the bond issued. The sample used in this research is the cigareete company, PT. Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk, during 10 years of balance sheet and profit and loss statement that is from 1995-2004 which is then analyzed by using regression analysis and difference that there is no significant influence of capital structure (measured by DER) toward the company's profitability (measured by EPS). Hence, there is no significant difference between the company's profitability before and after the publication of bond.
