Bioinformatics is a combination of two words, "bio" which means 'biology' and "informatics" which means 'information technology'. Generally bioinformatics is the application of analysis and computation tools to capture and interpret the biological data. This kind of science is a new knowledge that summarizes some science, such as computer, math, physics, biology and medicine each of which supports one anothe. The focus of this study only covers the role of bioinformatics from the demand og method to process the biological data which is recently growing very rapidly. Various inventions in modern biotechnological field has already triggered the expansion of data availability and in the mean time it needs support from information technology to extract such data to be a valuable information.
