Oil deposit is trapped in rock layers forming the lithosphere, is called reservoir rock. Applying the recent technology, it is only in the range of 30%-40% oil can be exploited from the potential deposit, leaving the remaining in this reservoir reck pore. Problems in releasing oil from the reservoir is due to the high oil viscousity and the low either porousity and permeability of that reservoir rock. Therefore, exploitation is necessarily equipped with MEOR (Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery) method. Bassicaly, MEOR method is apllied by injecting bacteria to the oil and the reservoir rock formation. When the environment is suitable to promote their generation, these microbe will produce some metabolite, such as gas, organic and inorganic acid, dissolvan, polymere and surfactant. These product are able to change the porousity and permeabilityof of reservoir rock, decreasing the surface tension, and oil viscosity, which can induce in releasing oil from reservoir rock trap.
