Inventory, the stock on hand at any given time, is an essential part of any supply sistem. Drug inventories exist to assure that when people are sick or need vaccination, the correct medicines are in the hospital and available at the right time at an accessible location. Risk and uncertainty enter the inventory drug analysis through many variables, but the most prevalent is variation in demand and lead time. When both demand and lead time are variables there is an increase in problem complexity. Both demand and lead time are random variables, so they need probabilistic or stochastic inventory model.
