Isi artikelThe most elementary scheduling problem occurs whenever a set of task is waiting ro be accomplished and only one processor is available. The processing times and due dates of each task are known and are independent of sequence in which the task are run. The scheduling problem in this situation is one of deciding which task to run first, second, third, and so forth. The choice of sequence will affect when each task is completed. An analysis of scheduling n tasks on one processor performance for different scheduling rules is evaluated. Seven different scheduling rules and five performance measures were used in the analysis. Due date are important for the planning and control of production, considering the fulfilment of due date of prime importance, established that due date must be realistic and that dispatch methods have to be chosen with the objective offulfilling them.
