With the increase in manufacturing system complexity and the growth of competition in the marketplace has come the need for efficient and accurate planning machines. Assembly lines have greatly enhanced production because of their constant concentration on the objective: producing good product. One of the important problems is the determining of optimum operating rates and operation time in serial multi-operation machining system. This paper will try to examine the analytical model to accurately predict the performance and characteristics of that simple manufacturing system.
