Isi artikel
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was designed to protect only those individuals who suffer fromconditions that constitute a disability under its definition. The language of the ADA provides that a person is disabled when he or she has a physical or mental impairment that “substantially limits one or m ore . . . m ajor life activities” (ADA, 1994). A recent United States Supreme Court decision will better define who is disabled and prevent employers from enduring the burden of accommodating minor limitations and conditions that do not substantially affect a person’s life.
