Data is rich but information is poor, that is the precise expression, which clearly describes how abundant data is provided in the world, but not all of them are useful for us. That phenomenon is supported by the current situation. Firstly, the price of storage system is going cheaper than before; secondly, by internetworking system or the other technology, finding the data is very easy. The implication is that data is very easy to be collected but very difficult to be managed. People say that there is much garbage among data. Data mining is one of the solution models to overcome that problem. In this paper we propose, the use of artificial neural network (ANN) Kohonen for data mining. Our researches show that ANN Kohonen can be used for data mining process. More over, although the process using ANN Kohonen can be done easily, the result of data mining process is satisfactory.
