How should research and policy interact? The ideal is to have research and policy as an integral process, much like any sound decisionmaking process that is based on data or evidence. Research, the collection ofreliable and credible data, should drive the evolution ofevidence-based policy and legislation from the point of determining feasibility through implementation and revision.
