Isi artikel
As required by the Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has revised the blood-borne pathogens standards to encourage employers to choose safer needle devices, to involve their employees in the decision about which devices should be used, and to require employers to separately record all injuries resulting from needlesticks. The regulations went into effect on April 18, 2001, but OSHA is planning a 90-day outreach and education effort before enforcement.
