Isi artikel
When an employer retains individuals to perform services, difficulties may arise in classifying the individuals as either independent contractors or employees. Generally, independent contractors are self-employed individuals who perform services for an organization on a per-job basis. Often, they are from outside an employer’s organization and are retained to perform certain tasks during a specific amount of time. On the other hand, employees are usually individuals within an employer’s organization who are retained for an indefinite period of time.
