Abstract: People in the world especially in Indonesia are facing very critical condition at this moment caused by illegal distribution of many drugs including psycho tropical and other dangerous drugs. The problem of drugs abuse has a wide and complex dimension such as medical, psychiatric, economic, social and political aspect. Religion is an important motivator in giving direction and preventive effort to drug abuse. Religion in connection with drug abuse should be implemented seriously as a normative value of live in community. It has to be way of live or principle of live to every body. This article discusses about the role of religion in overcoming drugs abuse.
