Abstract: The aim of the research is to increase the solubilittj of Furosemide knawn as insoluble diuretics drug by solid dispersion technology with solving method. PVP K30 is used as the matrix. The solid dispersion is made in various mixtures of Furosemide to PVP K30 1:1,1:2,1:3,1:4,1:5, respectively. The solid dispersion result is then evaluated by determination of Furosemide content, dissolution test, X-ray diffraction analysis and differential scanning calorimetnj (OSC) analysis. The result of dissolution test shawed that solid dispersion of Furosemide 1:3 is the most optimum mixture as it can increase the solubility of Furosemide by more than 100% for two hours. The X-ray diffraction analysis shawed that the crystalline structure of pure Furosemide has changed to amorfous form of solid dispersion of Furosemide 1 :3. The differential scanning calorimetry analysis shawed the change of curve peak point from 217,62°C of pure Furosemide to 92,73 °C of solid dispersion of Furosemide 1:3.
