Herbs have already been used by human to treat many diseases since a long time. Until recent time, herbs are still the exclusive sources in resulting chemical compounds which have pharmacologic activities. Twenty five percent of drugs which are prescribed by medical doctors are derived from herbs. Samples choice, isolation and structure identification, structure modification and synthesis are some procedures that should be performed in order to find chemical compounds from herbs which have curative effects. Scientific multidisciplinary approach is required to find new chemical compounds from nature.
