The Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS), designed to monitor home health care outcomes ofMedicare- and Medicaid-insured patients, has had little psychometric testing. Because the Health Care Financing Administration requires the collection and reporting ofOASIS data, there is a unique opportunity within home health care to track and compare outcomes locally, regionally, or nationally.
