Isi artikel
This paper describes the importance of ergonomics or human factors approach to the design of product development in its early design stages. These approaches will effect the quality and productivity that should be improved as the company needs to compete in the global market. The approach offers a substantial improvement if accompanied by an appropriate human resource effort. There is a good management that if human factors are respected and are the most important dimensions in quality and productivity improvement. The issues in this paper will focus on the basics of ergonomics problems related to the process design that those are as internal customer attributes that should be considered by designer at its design phase. Analysis stressing will be in the process design of manufacturing as a main core of work activities to produce products with respect to human capabilities to perform their jobs under consideration for the manufacturing technology choices in terms of fast growing manufacturing. By putting ergonomics concepts into early design as well as Quality Function Deployment (QFD) in concurrent engineering, means most are satisfied both internal and external customers and it is the company’s strategy to compete in the global market.
