Filing a petition of suspension of obligation for payment of debts (PKPU) at the Commercial Court is a tool that used by the Debtors/corporations which can not pay their debts or to avoid bankruptcy. After petition of PKPU is granted, creditors file their claims to the administrator and then the independent administrator process a verification of that claims under supervision from Supervisory Judge to determine the amount and status of corporate debts. The composition plan submitted by the debtor may either be approved or rejected. Bankruptcy Law itself does not determine when the discussion of the composition plan should be held. If the composition plan is approved, it will give sufficient time to the debtor for restructuring in order to repay the debts owe to the creditors.
