Isi artikelVoltage sink and interruptions are major problem concerning power quality in industry.Protection relay will automatically trip whwn the power quality is degraded to certain level.In many cases short voltage sink or interuptions that last for only a hundred miliseconds could result significant loss in production.This is mainly due to start-up times that will be needed again to operate machine load blower using Matlab.The machine data used in this simulation are taken from real world case in industry.These results show that changing the settings in the protection relay may reduce the number of unwanted shutdowns.If the remaining voltage is higher than 55% it is predicted that there will be no trip at all.In aadition, in this research , much attention has been paid on observing the torque variations during and after the voltage sink, and how it depends on the duration of voltage sink.
