Isi artikelAn Important step in planning manufacture of a component by CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining is selection of cutting tools significantly affect the machining time.Therefore , in order to perform machining process efficientl, we need to select a set of cutting tools optimal size.The tools selection dilemma lies in detemining best cutting tool or combination of cutting tools , which optimize the trade-off between material removal volume (MRV) and material removal rate (MRR).This research develops an algorithm for determining and selecting a combination of cutting tools for pocket machining.The results presented here suggest that the correct combination of cutting tools could reduce machining times by significant amounts.
