Isi artikel
Interpreting the Chinese Revolution requires analyzing it from a particular perspective in my case, a specific theoretical perspective. Analyzing a historical case from a specific point of viewnecessitates a cross-fertilization of history and some theories, frames of references, or conceptual schemes. This is not easy. Most such efforts end up with a frame of reference, a scheme of concepts, or a set of general theoretical statements carefully laid out in the first part that turn out completely unrelated to the conventional, historical narratives that follow. There is no organic unity between the two parts. The theoretical propositions and the factual descriptions stand aloof from each other.
