Isi artikel
Analyses of controversial issues, such as whether young children whose parents live apart should have opportunities to spend nights in both parents’ homes, can benefit from a fusion of humility and ambition. Such analyses should aspire to an integration of all relevant information rather than selectively cite only data that support a desired conclusion. An accurate and balanced account of the entire literature relevant to the issue of overnights reveals the lack of scientific and logical justification for blanket restrictions and supports the conclusion that caution should be exercised before depriving children of a valuable experience that can help sustain their normal interaction with both parents.
