One factor that influence the product quality afmachining process is cutting tool. Some aspects of cutting tool that must be considered are type of process, type of cutting tool, number of cutting tooth, workpiece material, and cutting condition. The geometry of cutting tool has function in machining process. The angle of cutting 1001 must be determined to cutting tool material, workp iece, and cutting condition . This paper will discuss machining process planning that can determine cutting tool angel for spesifi c work so optimize the machining process. The experiment based on machining parameters using carbides cut ?? ing tool. The result shows that geometry of cutting tool has significant influence on determining tool life.
