High strength steels have found a growing market in the automobile industry due to the need of reducing the vehicles weight as well as of decreasing the fuel consumption. Cars today are much safer to drive, have a higher performance and are lighter. Steel has potential mechanical property to be improved to obtain the strength-density ratio closed to aluminum. The development of high strength steel which still has good formability and weld ability has special attention now. Most studies of TRIP steel hitherto developed conventional C-Mn-S1 TRIP steel with carbon content less than 0.2 wt% and sign cant amounts ofSi(1.5-2.Sw1%), through thermo mechanical process giving that carbon enrichment in austenite. Si is known to cause surface defects after casting and to form adherent hard oxide (red scale) not compatible with industrial surface clean ?ng practice prior to hot rolling, and expected to give rise to galvanizing problem. HSLA steel which available in the market need to be improved The improvement of its combined strength, ductility and toughness can be achieved by intercritical annealing. In the present work, intercritical annealing with soaking time between 5- 8 minutes can avoid discontinuous yielding and increasing mechanical properties from cy = 405 MPa; a„ = 523 MPa to = 828 MPa; ?r„ = 1007MPa; UEL remain constant from 0.22 to 0.20.
