Isi artikel
Have you ever peeked into the “Knowledge Window”? A training colleague of ours, Richard Gitlin, opens almost every training program he leads with a discussion of the Knowledge Window. Richard will tell you: “It has four panes: Knowledge you know you know; knowledge you know you don’t know; knowledge you know but don’t know you know; and knowledge you don’t know you don’t know.” Maybe you want to read that again. Your blind spot, of course, is Pane 4: knowledge you don’t know you don’t know. Our goal is to reduce the size of Pane 4 (knowledge we don’t know we don’t know, or what Richard calls “your zone of ignorance”) and increase the amount of knowledge you know you know (knowledge you want) or knowledge you know you don’t know (because you have chosen not to know it!).
