I was born in 1941 in a little village near Bern. At the age of one I fell seriously ill and had to go to hospital for six months. Naturally I cannot remember this time but since my childhood this has left a deep impression on me: "If I'm still alive, it isn't natural. It is because of the work of the doctor (the famous professor Dr Glanzmann), because of the affection and love of my mother and father and because of God, who made the healing possible."
