Isi artikelExperiment was conducted to study of response of several sweet pepper cultivars on the shading treatments in sweet pepper cultivativation system at the medium land area (± 450 m above sea level). A split plot design was used in the experiment. The main plot was shading, ie. no shading, shading of plastic transparency, plastic paranets 20, 40 and 60 %. The sub plot was sweet pepper cultivars, Ie. Bell Boy, Spartacus, Bangkok and Blue Star. Results showed that the application of paranets 40 % gave better growth, high percentage of fruit sets and fruit yield of sweet pepper, followed by the transparency plastic treatment. The highest level of shading reduced the temperature and light intensity under shaded area, but the air humidity increased. The cultivars examined showed that the Blue Star cultivar gave the highest fruit set and fruit yield (492.52 g/plant), followed by Bell Boy (486.85 g/plant) and Spartacus cultivars (430.23 g/ plant).
