To control environmental degradation due to economic activities and to maintain a suitable development, the international world agress on a number of label to signify that a production activity has a commitment to the environment. The international standard organizaitonal (ISO) issues ISO 14000, containing of some major components such as ISO 1400s for the environemntal auditing, and ISO 14020s for environmental labeling. It is important for indonesian economic actors, to understand the new paradigms in environmental sector appearing in the itnernational world. The opinion about the environmental standard of the advanced countries' community (being export targets of indonesia's products and commodities) were exceptionally affect our success in selling goods to them. Likeliwise the industrial or environmental exploitation standards so that our natural resources can provide sustainable benefits. Indonesia has owned an environmetal law since 1982. She also has a government regulation on analysis on environmental impacts (AMDAL) which was revised in 1993 requiring that each activities generating significant impact on environment shall be subject to compose an analysis on environmental management. They are all intended to maintain the economic (development) activities while protecting the environment.
