Isi artikelThis article aims at exploring Gandhi's thought on perfect man and interpreting its historical dynamic in order to seek the relevance of such concept to overcome contemporary human problems. The concept of perfect man, for Gandhi,is characteristically antropocosmotheocentric, meaning that men who have good selfawareness and self-control, social maturity and care for their nature, and believe in God as well as service for humankind. Also they have a principle to live in peace and without any kinds of violence. By realizing these, men are expected to be able to anticipate the unended change of their civilization. The basic weakness of this concept is the imbalance relationship between such concept of perfect man and the man in real life. It means that such perfect man is a kind of utopia to realize.
