A 17 year old female with a subnormal mental state presented with a 2 week history of headache, vomiting and blurred vision. She had been treated intermittently for over 5 yaers with antiepileptic medication for her generalized tonic-clonic seizures. On examination, her face revealed bilateral acne-like lesions. Fun doscopy showed multiple retinal hamartomas, bilateral papiloedema and pale optic discs. Neurological examination was otherwise normal.
